I started this project to design postcards based on photos I took of some places I experienced over the past 4 years.
Postcards were a big part of popular culture and communication from the 1890s to 1920s. People used them as a quick and easy way to communicate words as well as images.
They were a way to mark time and space. A way to show loved ones where you are and when it was. Nowadays, they are more popular as collectables or gift items you’d find in a tourist shop.
The collection is called #WithLoveFromEko to imitate how people would sign postcards that they were sending out to loved ones.
